Overview

At Surf Protocol (an on-chain derivatives exchange built on a Bitcoin L2), I led day-to-day community operations and helped establish the protocol's early communication rhythm across Discord and Telegram. I also hosted Surf's first community call, creating a consistent space for updates, Q&A, and feedback loops between users and the core team.

• Led community operations across Discord and Telegram, ensuring clarity, responsiveness, and consistent user support during rapid growth.

• Hosted and moderated Surf Protocol's first community call, setting the foundation for recurring community-facing updates and transparent communication.

• Supported the community through technical and product-related issues, translating updates and event information into clear, actionable guidance for users.

• Contributed to early incentive and engagement systems, including a community points program adopted by 12K+ traders to encourage sustained participation.

• During and after my tenure, Surf scaled to $1B+ in trading volume, $33M in TVL, and 12,500+ unique traders (as referenced by a Surf co-founder).

• Maintained high-signal communication during periods of high activity by prioritizing accuracy, de-escalating confusion, and keeping users aligned with official updates.

• Surfaced recurring community feedback and pain points to the team to improve user experience and reduce support friction.

My work helped establish Surf's community layer as a reliable interface between the protocol and its users — supporting adoption, retention, and trust as the exchange matured and scaled.
